Returns & Cancellation Policy

At Quality Schoolwear, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains your rights when purchasing goods from us online, including your statutory right to cancel an online purchase and your rights where goods are faulty or do not conform to the contract.

1. Your statutory right to cancel an online order

If you purchase goods from us online, you generally have a statutory right to cancel your order without giving a reason.

You have 14 days from the day on which you receive the goods to tell us that you wish to cancel your purchase.

If you notify us within this 14-day cancellation period, you then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.

You do not have to give a reason for cancelling your order.

To exercise your right to cancel, please contact us using the contact details below and clearly tell us that you wish to cancel your order.

You may contact us by email or post. An unequivocal statement that you wish to cancel your order is sufficient.

2. Returning goods following cancellation

If you cancel your order, you must return the goods to us without undue delay and, in any event, no later than 14 days after the day on which you informed us of your decision to cancel.

Unless we have agreed to collect the goods or the law requires us to collect them, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

Please retain proof of postage or other evidence of return until your return has been processed.

Condition and handling of goods

You should take reasonable care of goods while they are in your possession.

You may handle the goods to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

You may be liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Your statutory right to cancel is not dependent on the goods being completely unworn, unwashed or in their original packaging, although the rules concerning diminished value described above may apply where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

We do not accept returns from outside the EU or UK.

3. Refunds following cancellation

If you validly exercise your statutory right to cancel, we will reimburse you for the payments we have received from you for the product(s).

We will reimburse you without undue delay and, in any event, no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to cancel.

However, where goods have been supplied, we may withhold the reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have provided evidence that you have returned them, whichever occurs first.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.

4. Faulty or non-conforming goods

If goods you receive are faulty, damaged or otherwise do not conform to the sales contract, you have statutory rights and remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.

These statutory rights are separate from our voluntary returns and exchange policy.

There is no requirement to report a fault within 7 days of receiving your order in order to exercise your statutory rights.

Depending on the circumstances, your statutory remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or termination of the contract and a refund.

If you believe that goods are faulty or do not conform to the sales contract, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can assist you.

5. Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an item for a different size or another item, please return the item to us and we will issue a refund. You can then place a new order. You will have to pay for postage fees again.

An exchange is separate from your statutory right to cancel an online purchase. Nothing in our exchange policy affects your statutory consumer rights.

6. Items that cannot be cancelled

There are certain circumstances in which the statutory right to cancel does not apply, including certain goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or are clearly personalised, and certain goods which are sealed for health or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken.

Where a statutory exception applies to a particular product, we will provide the relevant information before purchase.
